Fit

Clearances That Make Parking Easy, Not Stressful

RVs and boats aren’t one-size-fits-all, and your building shouldn’t be either. We design RV and boat storage buildings around the details that matter most: wall height, door height, drive aisle width, and the turning room you need to pull in without a dozen back-ups. Whether you’re storing a Class A motorhome, a toy hauler, or a boat on a trailer, the goal is the same—smooth entry, clean parking, and confident exit.

Common design choices for boat storage buildings and RV garages include:

  • Taller door clearance for roof-mounted AC units and antennas
  • Wider bays for slide-outs and door swing clearance
  • Clear-span interiors to maximize usable space
  • Drive-through options for long rigs and trailers
  • Storage zones for gear, batteries, and seasonal accessories

Facility-Ready

RV Storage Facility Buildings Built for Revenue and Retention

If you’re planning an RV storage facility, the building layout is part of your business model. We can configure RV storage facility buildings with multiple bays, repeatable unit widths, and traffic flow that supports quick move-ins and simple tenant access. The right plan helps reduce bottlenecks, protects customer property, and creates a clean, professional look that supports premium pricing.

Want to future-proof your site? Many owners start with a phase-one building and plan expansion points for additional structures, wider drives, or upgraded features like controlled access and enhanced security.

Customization

Maximizing Space: Beyond Traditional RV & Boat Storage

Storage is just the start. With the right custom options, your building can include a rinse-down area, a small maintenance bay, or a dedicated spot for tools and parts—ideal for private owners and facility operators alike. If you need added protection for temperature-sensitive equipment, ask about insulation and optional climate-control considerations for your project.

Popular add-ons for RV storage building kits:

  • Roll-up or sectional doors sized for RV entry
  • Multiple access doors for foot traffic and staff access
  • Interior liner panels for a cleaner finish
  • Ventilation upgrades to manage heat and humidity
  • Electrical rough-in planning for lights, outlets, and cameras

A great storage building doesn’t slow you down. We help you plan door placement, bay spacing, and circulation so you can drive in, park, and leave without tight turns or wasted space. For multi-tenant sites, smart layout planning can also reduce accidental dings and improve customer confidence, especially for larger RVs and boats.

Strength

Why Steel Works Best for RV and Boat Storage

RV storage buildings need to be tough, low maintenance, and predictable over the long haul. Steel framing delivers dependable performance and gives you flexible design options for wide bays and tall openings. When you’re comparing options, focus on how the building will function day after day—access, interior volume, and protection—so your storage solution supports the way you actually use it.

What You Need to Know About Roof Pitch

Selecting the ideal roof pitch for your metal building kit is an important decision that hinges on a few key considerations. If your area is prone to heavy snowfall, opting for a steeper roof pitch can help snow management. However, it’s important to balance this with the cost implications, as a higher pitch can increase the overall price of your building.

A 0.25:12 roof pitch strikes that perfect balance for most customers. This pitch is not only cost-effective but is as efficient in bearing snow weight as a 6:12 pitch. While a higher pitch can aid in shedding snow more quickly, remember that it comes with a higher cost. Our goal is to help you make an informed choice that aligns with both your environmental needs and budget, ensuring your building is both functional and financially feasible.
